Bolsover Castle

We took a road trip to Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire.



Above the Vale of Scarsdale, on the site of a medieval fortress, is an "extraordinary 17th-century aristocratic retreat". It consists of the ‘Little Castle’ which holds wall-paintings and interiors, and the Riding House, which is the earliest building in England in survival.

Entry is through the gift shop where admission is £11.90 per person (with gift aid).
