Derwent Reservoir (Derbyshire)
Last weekend, I pulled my trusty hiking boots out and ventured out to Derwent Valley in the Peak District.
The Details
Journey time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Weather: cold and a bit windy but the sun shined in intervals so it felt warmer in places
Parking: £2.50 all day. We arrived at around midday but couldn't park in the main car park as it was full but there are lots of off-road parking leading up to the main entrance
Facilities: toilets, gift shop and a place to buy food (selling hot/cold food and drinks)
Highlight: lots of ducks wanting to steal your food
Would I visit again?: absolutely, as there are different routes to walk
:-)
