Salou, Spain (October 2012)

Last year, Adam and I took our first official holiday abroad. We'd been together over 7 years by that point and not once had a holiday out the country. We've took small weekend trips here and there but nothing big that required a baggage allowance.

For our first big holiday we choose to go Salou in Spain. Adam's been before when he was a youngster so he knew the area well. My biggest "want" to go was the theme park PortAventura. Adam always raved on about Dragon Khan roller-coaster ride and the numerous themed areas. SOLD.

We booked our holiday with Teletext. We settled on a Vil.la Romana hotel. 
It was perfect. A short walk from the theme park and the beach. Perfect location in my book. The staff were really helpful and nice. The food was amazing. Home made omelettes and pancakes anyone? The pool was lush and the inside pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steamroom were not too shabby either haha!

This holiday I was introduced to sangria. Many a nights we ordered by the jug and many a nights I would get a little tipsy.

October is Halloween in the park so everything is decorated and scary characters linger the park.

It was very sad to goodbye. The weather was perfect and although it rained only the one time I didn't care because I was too merry on sangria.

We are planning a trip to go back in October but this time we are bringing some friends along with us.

Can. Not. Wait.
