Vikings and Jazz (York - Day 1)
We packed up the car and spent a few days in York for my birthday.
The Details
First visit?
Nope, this is our 3rd visit.
Journey time?
It took us 2 hours which including a pit stop at a service station.
Accommodation?
For the first night we stayed at The Crescent Guest House. We booked a double room with ensuite for £60 and breakfast was included. This consisted of cereal, toast, preserves, orange juice, apple juice, tea or coffee and a full English breakfast. Its a great location as only 10 minute walk to the centre of York. If you want to visit York but you're on a budget, I would definitely recommend this place.
Parking?
The owners of the guest house gave us a parking permit. You can park on the road just at the side of the guest house.

Highlight of the day?
Making friends in a pub, drinking hot chocolate and listening to jazz for the evening.
